What is this?

This is the Instagram view of Channels — open it from the Instagram card, or go to /channels?channel=instagram. It connects an Instagram business account so you can answer Instagram messages in the shared inbox, automate comment replies, publish posts, and see insights.
Your platform administrator must have set up Instagram OAuth, and your plan must include Instagram. Connecting needs the Instagram create permission; reconnecting and testing need edit; disconnecting needs delete.

What can I do here?

  • Connect an Instagram account (and add more)
  • See the account’s followers, token expiry, permissions and supported features
  • Reconnect, test, and run diagnostics
  • Read recent audit logs and webhook events
  • Disconnect the account without losing your chats

How to use it

Basic use — connect an account

  1. Open Channels → Instagram and click Add new Instagram account (or Connect Instagram Account).
  2. Log in with Instagram and approve access. Instagram connected — account connected successfully means it worked; Instagram connect failed tells you why.
  3. The account appears as a card.

What the card shows

The account’s username, Followers and Following, description, website (or No website available), Token expiry and Permissions (or No permissions found — reconnect and approve them). Feature Support lists each feature as supported, needing a permission, or not supported. Below it, Recent Audit Logs and Recent Webhook Events (each says No … yet when empty) help you see what happened. Use the features from the Instagram group in the sidebar — Insights, User Interaction and Publishing.

The buttons

Disconnect the account

Click Disconnect and confirm Disconnect Instagram account? You can no longer send or receive Instagram messages here. Your chats and contacts stay, and reconnecting brings them back. To remove the whole channel, use Delete Channel.

Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

  • Disconnect or Test is greyed out. You lack the Instagram delete or edit permission — ask an admin.
  • Messages don’t arrive. Check Recent Webhook Events, then Reconnect.
  • Publishing isn’t available. Reconnect and allow content publishing.
  • Add new Instagram account is disabled. Channel limit reached, no create permission, or Instagram isn’t in your plan.
