What is this?

Google is a channel-style integration that connects a Google account to your workspace, so the platform can work with three Google services: Google Sheets (log and sync your data to spreadsheets), Google Calendar (view and manage events), and Google Contacts (sync contacts in either direction). You connect it once from Channels → Google. After that, each service has its own page in this section. It also powers the Google Sheets and Google Calendar steps in Automation. The Google integration needs a plan that includes Google, and your platform administrator must have set up Google OAuth first. Permissions control what you can do: google:view to see it, google:create to connect an account, google:edit to change sync settings, and google:delete to remove sheets or disconnect.

What can I do here?

  • Connect a Google account, then Reconnect, Sync, or Disconnect it

How to use it

Connect your Google account

  1. Go to Channels and open the Google card, then click Connect Google Account (or Add Google to this channel).
  2. In the Sign in with Google dialog, review what the platform will ask for — Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts, each with read and write access — and click Continue with Google.
  3. Sign in with Google and approve the access. You’re returned to the platform with your account connected.
[SCREENSHOT: google-integration-connect-dialog — The Sign in with Google dialog listing Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts access, with the Continue with Google button] Once connected, the panel shows the account’s Email and when it was Last synced. From here you can:
  • Reconnect Google Account if access has stopped working or you want to grant it again
  • Sync to run a sync with Google
  • Disconnect to remove the connection
The connection is long-lived. The access token lasts about an hour and is renewed automatically before each operation, and the refresh token is stored securely and stays valid indefinitely — so you shouldn’t need to reconnect regularly.

Use Google in automations

Once your account is connected, two steps become available in the Automation builder:
  • Google Sheets — add, update, or fetch rows in a linked sheet
  • Google Calendar — create events or retrieve appointments

Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

  • “Connection Failed” when connecting. Google didn’t grant access. Try again, and make sure you approve all three permissions. If it keeps failing, your platform administrator should check Google OAuth.
  • The Google card is unavailable or shows an upgrade message. Your plan doesn’t include Google — see Channels.
  • You can’t connect or change settings. You need google:create to connect and google:edit to change sync settings. Ask an administrator.
  • “Sync failed.” Click Sync again. If it still fails, use Reconnect Google Account to grant access again.
  • Disconnecting doesn’t delete anything in Google. It only removes the link from the platform.
