What is this?
TikTok Publishing is where you create posts for your connected TikTok Business Account — a video or a set of photos — and publish them now, schedule them, or send a video to your TikTok drafts to finish in the app.You need a connected TikTok account with the publishing permissions granted, and your administrator must have set up the publishing media URL in TikTok OAuth. If something is missing the page says what — for example Publishing is not set up yet or TikTok publishing is not enabled for this account yet; reconnect after your administrator fixes it.
What can I do here?
- Publish a Video or Photos post
- Publish directly, or Send to TikTok drafts (videos only)
- Choose who can watch (photo posts) and whether comments, Duet and Stitch are allowed
- Schedule a post
- Track each post’s status, retry a failed one, or cancel a scheduled one
How to use it
1
Open Publishing
Open the TikTok group in the sidebar and click Publishing.
2
Choose the post type
- Video — MP4, MOV or WebM. The page shows the maximum video length for your account.
- Photos — 1 to 35 JPEG or WebP images (up to 20 MB each, 1080p). Star one as the cover with Use as cover, and remove any with Remove photo.
3
Write the post
Add a Caption with #hashtags. For photo posts also add a Title and Description, and optionally Add recommended music. For videos choose whether to Allow comments, Allow Duet and Allow Stitch. For photo posts choose Who can watch: Everyone, Friends, Followers or Only me.
4
Choose how to post
Publish directly posts publicly to your profile. Send to TikTok drafts (video only) sends the video to your TikTok inbox so you finish it in the app. Or choose Schedule for later — at least 10 minutes from now and within 30 days.
5
Submit
Click Publish now, Send to drafts, or Schedule post.
Track your posts
The Posts table shows each post’s Caption, Type (Direct post or Draft), Status and When:TikTok limits direct video posts to 6 per minute and 15 per day per account.
Troubleshooting / Technical Notes
- “TikTok publishing is not enabled for this account yet.” The TikTok app doesn’t have the publishing permissions, or this account hasn’t granted them. Ask your administrator to add them, then Reconnect.
- “Publishing is not set up yet: your admin must verify the media URL.” Your administrator needs to verify the media URL in TikTok OAuth.
- A video failed. Open the row to see TikTok’s reason — often the length, format, or the daily limit. Fix it and click Retry.
- Drafts can’t be used for photos. Photo posts always publish directly.
- My scheduled post didn’t go out. Check the account still shows Connected; posts scheduled while the connection is expired or disconnected fail.
