What is this?
These tools give the assistant the basic picture of your workspace: which channels exist, who is on the team, how much activity there has been, and whether your networks are connected and healthy.
These tools belong to the Workspace MCP. Each tool below shows its Mode (Read runs immediately; Write asks your MCP client to confirm first) and the Permission needed for it to appear for your key — “None” means every connected key sees it.
What can I do here?
- Ask for a workspace summary, channel list, or team roster
- See messages sent and received over the last days
- Check whether WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, TikTok, Web Chat and Google are connected and healthy
get_workspace_overview
Summary of the user’s current channel: its name and counts of contacts, automations by status, and templates by status. Only sections the user is allowed to see are included.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: None
list_channels
List the channels this user can work in (name, WhatsApp number or connected Instagram/Facebook/web chat, active, health), marking the current one. Other channels are only listed here; every other tool works in the current channel.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: None
list_team_members
List the people who work in the user’s current channel: the owner and team members, with their user id, role, status and last login. Use it to find who can take a conversation.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: team:view
get_activity_summary
Activity of the user’s current channel over the last N days (1-30, default 7): messages received and sent, delivery results of sent messages (sent, delivered, read, failed), new conversations and new contacts.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: analytics:view
get_connected_networks
Which messaging networks the user’s current channel has connected and whether each is healthy: WhatsApp number, Instagram account, Facebook Page, Telegram bot, TikTok account and web chat sites, with status, webhook state and token expiry where they apply. Use it for “is my Instagram connected?” or “why am I not receiving Telegram messages?”.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: channels:view
get_google_connection
Whether the user’s current channel has a Google account connected (for Google Calendar and Google Sheets), which account, and how many calendars and sheets are available. Call it before offering or building anything that needs Google. If it isn’t connected, the assistant builds with plain fields instead.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: google:view
Troubleshooting / Technical Notes
- A tool I expect isn’t offered. The MCP server only offers tools whose required permission your API key’s owner holds, re-checked on every call. Grant the permission shown on the tool — see Team.
- A Write tool never seems to run. Your MCP client asks you to approve every Write tool call. Check for a pending approval prompt.
- A call returns an error. See MCP errors.
