What is this?
Read-only tools for your Web Chat widget and Help Center.
These tools belong to the Workspace MCP. Each tool below shows its Mode (Read runs immediately; Write asks your MCP client to confirm first) and the Permission needed for it to appear for your key — “None” means every connected key sees it.
What can I do here?
- See who is on your website right now and where they come from
- Search your public Help Center articles
search_help_articles
Search this channel’s own Help Center articles: the web chat Knowledge Base, i.e. the FAQ and help content the business publishes for its customers. Not the product documentation (use search_docs for how to use the platform).
Mode: Read · Permission needed: None
get_webchat_visitors
Visitors of the channel’s web chat sites over the last N hours (default 1, up to 168): total visits, top countries, most visited pages and the latest visits (country, city, page, referrer, time). No IP addresses.
Mode: Read · Permission needed: widgetbuilder:view
Troubleshooting / Technical Notes
- A tool I expect isn’t offered. The MCP server only offers tools whose required permission your API key’s owner holds, re-checked on every call. Grant the permission shown on the tool — see Team.
- A Write tool never seems to run. Your MCP client asks you to approve every Write tool call. Check for a pending approval prompt.
- A call returns an error. See MCP errors.
