# Test a Meta Business Agent

> Chat with the agent, send test events, and run evaluations before it goes live.

## What is this?

The **Test** tab of a [Meta Business Agent](https://docs.xpressbot.org/workspace/whatsapp/meta-business-agent/overview.md) lets you try the agent safely — chat with it, trigger an action for a live conversation, and run evaluation cases — before you turn Agentic Mode on for everyone.

## What can I do here?

* **Chat** with the agent as a customer
* Send **Events** — trigger an agent action for a live conversation, such as a completed payment
* Run **Evaluations** and read what went well and what to fix

## How to use it

### Chat

Open **Test → Chat** and send a message to start testing. Use **New conversation** to start over. Each reply can show a handoff reason, or *No response* with the reason.

### Events

Open **Test → Events** to trigger an agent action for a live conversation. Enter the customer's phone number in international format — or their WhatsApp business-scoped user ID — fill in the event details, and click **Send event**. They must already have a conversation with you. The page confirms *Event queued for processing.*

### Evaluations

Open **Test → Evaluations**, pick evaluation cases, and click **Run selected cases**. Progress shows *Running: n of m cases done…*. When it finishes you see the **Average conversation score**, the **Average reply score**, and per conversation **What went well** and **What to fix**.

## Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

* **"Send a message to start testing the agent."** Type a message to begin the chat.
* **The evaluation didn't finish.** Meta didn't return a job to follow, or it failed — try again.
* **An event isn't sent.** The customer must already have a conversation with you, and the number must be in international format.
