# Facebook Publishing

> Compose, schedule, publish, and save drafts of posts for your Facebook Page.

## What is this?

Facebook Publishing is where you compose, publish, or schedule posts to your connected Facebook Page, and manage saved drafts and upcoming scheduled posts.

## What can I do here?

* Compose a **Text post**, **Photo post**, or **Video post** via the Post Type selector (video posts can be drafted but cannot be published yet)
* Upload a photo (JPEG, PNG, WEBP) or video (MP4, MOV) file for the post
* Add an optional **Link** on text posts
* Write the post's **Message / Caption**
* Choose **When to publish**: **Publish now** or **Schedule for later**, picking a date and time between 10 minutes and 75 days from now
* Publish the post immediately, or schedule it, via the **Publish** / **Schedule** button
* Save the current composition as a draft with **Save Draft**, without publishing it
* Reopen a saved draft for editing (pencil icon) or delete it (trash icon) from the **Saved Drafts** tab
* View **Upcoming Scheduled** posts pulled live from the connected Facebook Page, with their scheduled time and a message preview
* Refresh the scheduled posts list
* See a live **Publishing State** panel that tracks the current step (Ready, Publishing…, Scheduling…, Published successfully, Scheduled successfully, or Publishing failed) and shows the resulting post ID once published or scheduled
* See stat tiles for the number of Upcoming Scheduled posts, Saved Drafts, and the name of the Connected Page

## How to use it

Go to **Facebook → Publishing** and choose a tab.

    1. Optionally enter a **Draft Title**.

    2. Choose a **Post Type**: Text post, Photo post, or Video post. Video posts can only be saved as a draft — publishing is not available yet.

    3. For Photo or Video posts, click the upload area (or the **Upload** button) to choose a file.

    4. For Text posts, optionally add a **Link**.

    5. Write the **Message / Caption**.

    6. Under **When to publish**, choose **Publish now** or **Schedule for later**. If scheduling, set a **Schedule date & time** — it must be at least 10 minutes ahead and within 75 days.

    7. Click **Publish** (or **Schedule**) to send the post to Facebook. The **Publishing State** panel shows progress and, once done, the resulting post ID.

    8. To finish later, click **Save Draft** at any point. Drafts are kept per connected channel.

    1. See the posts Meta will publish in the future, pulled live from your Page with their scheduled time and a message preview.

    2. Click **Refresh** to pull the latest list from Facebook.

    1. See all drafts for this channel.

    2. Click the pencil icon on a draft to load it back into the composer, or the trash icon to delete it.

Scheduling requires the connected Page to have granted the `pages_manage_posts` permission; if scheduling requests fail, reconnect the Facebook Page in Settings. Publishing on this page requires the `facebook:edit` permission — without it, the page shows an access-denied message instead of the composer.
