# Event Studio Channel

> Create events, manage registrations and tickets, and control your public event pages.

## What is this?

This is the Event Studio view of [Channels](https://docs.xpressbot.org/workspace/channels/overview.md) — open it from the **Event Studio** card, or go to `/channels?channel=event`. **Event Studio** lets you create public event pages, sell or give away tickets, collect registrations, and track attendees — all within the platform. Customers register through a public page, and their registrations appear in the inbox and in the Events section of the sidebar.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Event Studio must be included in your plan. If it isn't, the card shows **Upgrade** and **Create event** is disabled with *Event Studio is not included in your plan.*

## What can I do here?

* Create an event with **Create event**
* See all the events on this channel and manage them
* Turn the **Public pages** switch on or off to control whether your event pages are live
* View registrations, tickets and attendees — from the **Events** section in the sidebar

## How to use it

### Create an event

1. Open **Channels → Event Studio** and click **Create event**.
2. Fill in the event details: name, date and time, location (physical or online), description, ticket types and quantities, and any registration questions.
3. Save the event. It gets a public page with a URL you can share.

Your plan's event limit controls how many events you can have active at once. The counter beside **Create event** (for example `2/10`) shows how many you've used. If the limit is reached, **Create event** is disabled — upgrade your plan to add more.

### Manage events

All your events are listed here. For each one you can:

* Edit the details, dates and ticket types
* See registrations, check-ins and revenue
* Share the event's public link
* Archive or delete it

See [Events](https://docs.xpressbot.org/workspace/events/overview.md) for the full Events documentation.

### The Public pages switch

The **Public pages** switch controls whether visitors can reach your event pages on the internet.

| Switch | What it does |
| - | - |
| **On** | Your event pages are live and visitors can register or buy tickets |
| **Off** | All your public event pages are taken offline. Visitors get an error. New registrations and ticket sales are refused. Your events, registrations, tickets and contacts are **kept** |

Turn it off if you need to pause all activity temporarily (for example during maintenance or a rebranding). Turn it back on at any time to bring the pages back.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Event Studio does not have a Disconnect button.** Every event, registration and ticket belongs to Event Studio, so there is no "connection" to remove. To stop all public activity temporarily, use the **Public pages** switch. To permanently remove Event Studio and everything in it, use **Delete Channel** — this cannot be undone.

## Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

* **Create event is disabled.** Your plan doesn't include Event Studio, or you reached your plan's event limit — upgrade to add more.
* **"Select an active channel first to manage event settings."** Switch to the channel you want to manage first using **Switch Channel**.
* **My event page says it's unavailable.** The **Public pages** switch is off — turn it on.
* **Registrations aren't appearing.** Check that the event's public page is on and that visitors completed the registration form.
