# Storefront Products

> Create, edit, and manage the products in a catalog — pricing, stock, images, categories, and Meta product details.

## What is this?

**Products** (shown as **Catalog Products**) is where you manage the items in one catalog. Products live in Meta Commerce Manager and the platform at the same time — when you create or change a product here, the platform saves it on Meta and locally, so it appears on WhatsApp and on your storefront.

<Info>
  Open Products from a catalog's row on the [Storefront overview](/workspace/catalog/overview), and use **Back to Catalogs** to return.
</Info>

## What can I do here?

* See summary tiles: **Total Products**, **Visible**, and **In Stock**
* Search products by name
* **Create Product** with images, pricing, stock, categories, and attributes
* **Fetch from Meta** to pull the latest products from your Meta catalog into the platform
* Read each product's **Product Name**, **Product No**, **Price**, **Visibility**, **Availability**, and **Inventory**
* **Edit product** or **Delete product**
* Change a product's **Visibility** (**Published** or **Hidden**) and **Availability** (**In Stock**, **Out of Stock**, or **Preorder**)

## How to use it

### Create a product

1. Click **Create Product**.

2. Add a **Product Image** — a photo or video (JPG, PNG, MP4, or WebM, up to 16 MB). At least one image is required.

   \[SCREENSHOT: catalog-product-create-media — The Create Product dialog showing the Product Image upload area]

3. Under **Basic Information**, enter the **Product Name** and **Price** (both required). Optionally add a **Sale Price**, the **Currency**, and the **Stock** quantity.

4. Set the **Item Group ID**. Products that share a group are variants of each other (for example different sizes or colors). Leave it to auto-generate a new group, or enter an existing one.

5. Write a **Short Description** and a **Full Description**.

6. Under **Status & Attributes**, choose the **Visibility** and the **Condition** — **New**, **Used**, or **Refurbished**.

7. Under **Product Variants & Attributes**, add the **Brand**, **Color**, **Size**, **Gender**, and **Pattern** where they apply. The attribute that tells variants apart (such as color or size) is what Meta uses to group them.

8. Under **Product Categories**, choose a **Subvertical**, which fills in the Google and Meta/Facebook product categories automatically. You can also pick the **Google Product Category** or **Meta/Facebook Product Category** directly.

9. Under **Identification & Fulfillment**, add the codes buyers and search engines use:
   * **GTIN** — the barcode number (UPC, EAN, ISBN, or ITF-14). Use this first — it's the most trusted.
   * **MPN** — the manufacturer part number, up to 100 characters.
   * **Expiration Date** — in `YYYY-MM-DD` format. Expired products aren't shown.

10. Click **Create Product**. The product is created on Meta and saved in the platform.

### Edit or delete a product

1. Click **Edit product** on a row, change what you need, and save.
2. Click **Delete product** to remove one. This removes it from your catalog **and** from Meta and can't be undone.

### Bring in products from Meta

If you add or change products in Meta Commerce Manager, click **Fetch from Meta** to pull the latest into the platform.

## Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

* **"Image Required."** Upload a product image before creating a product.
* **"Validation Error."** A required field — the name or price — is missing or invalid.
* **A product won't show to customers.** Check that its **Visibility** is **Published**, its **Availability** isn't **Out of Stock**, and the catalog is **Visible** on the [Storefront overview](/workspace/catalog/overview).
* **The Item Group ID can't be edited.** It's read-only once the product exists.
* **"No products found."** Add a product, or click **Fetch from Meta** if you already have products there.
