# Booking Studio

> Let customers book appointments, classes, and consultations online — with your own booking page, team schedules, reminders, and Google Calendar sync.

## What is this?

**Booking Studio** lets customers book your services online. You list what you offer — a haircut, a yoga class, a consultation — set who does it, when they work, and how long it takes. Booking Studio gives you a public **booking page** to share, shows customers only the times that are really free, and keeps everything in one place for your team.

It suits anything with a time slot: salons, clinics, gyms and classes, tutors, consultants, driving schools, cleaners, and more.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Booking Studio is marked **Beta**. It's available when your **plan** includes it and your platform has it switched on. If it isn't, the page shows **Upgrade Required**.

## What can I do here?

* Create **services**, from a ready-made template or from scratch — see [Services](/workspace/booking-studio/services.md)
* Set each service's length, group size, rules, questions, waiver, and reminders — see [Service Settings](/workspace/booking-studio/service-settings.md)
* Add the **team** who takes bookings, their working hours, **locations**, and **Google Calendar** sync — see [Team, Locations & Calendar](/workspace/booking-studio/team-locations-calendar.md)
* Brand your **booking page** and set your business hours — see [Your Booking Page](/workspace/booking-studio/booking-page.md)
* Manage **bookings**: approve, move, cancel, mark no-shows, and complete visits — see [Bookings](/workspace/booking-studio/bookings.md)
* See what customers go through — see [The Customer Booking Experience](/workspace/booking-studio/customer-experience.md)
* Let an **AI agent** book for customers in chat — see [AI Agents and Booking Studio](/workspace/booking-studio/ai-booking.md)

## How it works

1. **Set up your business.** Add your name, logo, and business hours under **Channels → Booking Studio**.
2. **Create a service** and say who takes it and when they work.
3. **Publish it.** Customers can now book from your page.
4. **Share the link** — on your website, in WhatsApp, or on social media.
5. **Customers pick a time.** They only see times that are free: inside working hours, not already taken, and not blocked on a linked Google Calendar.
6. **You manage the bookings.** Approve them if you need to, move or cancel them, and mark visits complete.

Each booking creates or updates a **contact** in your workspace, so you can message customers, label them, and see their history like any other contact.

## Where to find it

| Where | What's there |
| - | - |
| **Booking Studio → Bookings** in the sidebar | Your list of services. Open one to manage its bookings, team, rules, and more. |
| **Channels → Booking Studio** | Your business branding and the booking page address. See [Your Booking Page](/workspace/booking-studio/booking-page.md). |
| Your public page at `/s/your-page-name` | What customers see |

## Key ideas

| Term | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Service** | One thing customers can book, such as *Haircut* or *Yoga class* |
| **Person** (provider) | A team member who takes bookings for a service |
| **Location** | A place you work from — a branch, a room — shared by all your services |
| **Booking** | One customer's reserved time for a service |
| **Seats** | How many people can book the same start time. `1` is one-to-one; more is a class |
| **Published / Paused / Draft** | Whether customers can book the service right now |

## Permissions and plan

| Permission | Lets you |
| - | - |
| **View services and bookings** | See services, bookings, and the team calendar |
| **Create and edit services and bookings** | Create and change services, bookings, team hours, and locations |
| **Delete services and locations** | Delete services and locations |

Owners and admins have all three. Give them to team members in [Team](/workspace/team.md). Your plan sets how many services you can have — the **Add service** button shows your count, for example *(2/5)*.

## Troubleshooting / Technical Notes

* **"Upgrade Required."** Your plan doesn't include Booking Studio, or you've used all your services. Open **View Plans**.
* **"You do not have permission to view Booking Studio."** Ask an admin for the services permission. See [Team](/workspace/team.md).
* **The sidebar item is missing.** Booking Studio may not be switched on for your platform or plan, or you lack the permission.
* **Customers can't see any times.** Check the service is **Published**, someone is assigned to it, and they have working hours. See [Service Settings](/workspace/booking-studio/service-settings.md).
* **My booking link says "Page not found."** Both the service and your booking page must be published. See [Your Booking Page](/workspace/booking-studio/booking-page.md).
