# Get message status

> Look up a sent message by WAMID. The message must belong to a channel accessible to this API key, otherwise 403 — WAMIDs are not enumerable across tenants.

Authentication: API key via X-API-Key header (or Authorization: Bearer).
Permissions: User API key
Rate limit: api_read — 120 requests/min per API user.
